Josie was at home when her jackass father came inside. Damn, should have already left, she thought. She walked passed her father and he grabbed her by the arm. "Let Go." Josie said, she was already pissed at her father. He'd given her ex-boyfriend her new cell phone number, which she'd changed because of him. "Where are you going?" her father asked. "Does it matter." Josie said to her father and made him let go of her and she walked to the door. "Drop the attitude and you may get a better boyfriend." her asshole father said. That's when Josie snapped, "Me? Ha. Your telling me I may get a better boyfriend. Dad, I love Jacob and it's kind of funny you saying this to me because you lost mom because well, you know why and now I know and see why!" Josie said raising her voice. Then she went out the door and slammed it behind her. "Asshole." she said and walked off, she heard her father coming after her so she ran as fast as she could.
By the time she'd reached the park she was out of breath, at least she'd lost her father. She never understood why she'd decided to live with him when mom left, the only reason she could think of was because she didn't know that her father was an ass. She couldn't wait until she moved out, she could have already if she'd liked but something kept her from leaving. Her sister, but now her sister was gone. Her sister had moved on and gotten married to some guy named Devin Maxwell. She missed her sister so much, but she was forbidden to see her by her father.
She sat down under a tree and waited. For what, not even she knew. She normally met Jacob here mid-day but she thought he would have left by now seeing it was late in the day. It was almost 8 o' clock at night. She sighed, seeing Jacob had always been the highlight of her day. She'd planned on leaving late but her father had made her way late and then when running she'd stopped to walk every once and awhile.

His question came out as a soft, compassionate, love-filled whimper but he was quite confidant that she’d worked out what his question was. With his body wrapped around her he placed his head on her lap. He couldn’t remember telling her that he was a shifter but he believed that she could also figure out who the russet wolf was by his actions.[/ul]

Josie had looked away in thought, then she heard somebody say something to her. “What’s wrong Josie?” it was Jacob. He'd waited for her? Was he crazy? It was late and he'd waited all this time for her. "It's nothing." Josie began, she wasn't going to tell Jacob that her dad was being an ass. It was a natural thing, her dad being an ass but he'd really upset her this time.
Earlier replayed in her head, the whole arguement. "It's just my dad." She said and sighed, "He said some things, that just... pissed me off. Like if I drop my attitude then I may get a better boyfriend." Josie said, "How can he say that when mom left him because of his attitude." She continued.

He looked up at her when she said that. Her tone began to make him think that for some reason it was all his fault. What had he done? He placed his head against her chest trying to make up for whatever he might have done to upset her. “Its just my Dad. He said some things, that just… pissed me off. Like if I drop my attitude then I may get a better boyfriend. How can he say that when mom left him because of his attitude.” He licked the area underneath her chin as if telling her that he’d be back soon. Its a good thing that he had already turned 'wolf'. Shortly after he did that he stood up and sighed as he walked to a nearby bush. He quickly shoved his clothing on and once that had happened he ran on two legs over to his girlfriend. When he was beside her he wrapped his arms around her and bulled her into his abnormally warm (for a human) bare chest. “Now where were we? Oh, yeah your father. I have no idea, really. I think he’s trying to protect you. He doesn’t know about what I am, does he?” If her father knew that he was a shifter then that would explain the whole dislike of him but why would he not want the two of them together when he didn’t know about Jake’s wolf side? I’ll have to tell the over protective parent someday, but it would be best to do that when he can’t keep her from me… like when we’re married…[/ul]

Josie sighed, “I sort gave hints…” she said, “I think he finally figured it out because I swore I woke up one night to him yelling about something.” Josie said, she didn’t tell him she’d snuck into her father’s room and found him searching Wolf Boys. It would have been a little weird but it had scared her at the time but now it was making her laugh inside her head. It was funny, but it worried her. Had he found out Jacob was a werewolf. Josie’s phone went off, it was her father calling so she ignored the call. She sighed, “Does he ever leave me alone?" she wondered aloud. "And Jacob, I don’t want to be protected by him.” She told him, she hated her father. Period, and thats how it was going to stay.

He wanted to swear beneath his breath. So her father knew what he was. Perhaps that wasn’t a bad thing. For all he knew, it meant that he could send his pack in there to ‘teach’ the man a lesson. He could do that but it would mean risking the exposure of his race. It could also mean losing Josie forever to her father’s grip. He’d have to come up with a way to stop her father taking her away from him forever. Then her phone rang suddenly. There was no need to ask her who it was. Her overprotective father. “Hey, pass that here. I’ll greet him next time. He already hates me.” He gave her a kiss. To any couple walking by they’d be a love struck teenage couple. But he knew they were more than that. She was a human. He was a werewolf. Not only that but he had imprinted on her. She was the one. There was no doubt about it. “Does he ever leave me alone? And Jacob, I don’t want to be protected by him.” He snuggled in closer to her wanting her to know that he’d always be there with her emotionally, when he couldn’t be there for her physically. Now he had to find a way of calming her down. He loved her and really disliked seeing her as distressed as she was now. “I know you don’t want him to be, Josie, but its apart of the job description of being a father. He probably thinks that I’m going to morph at the full moon one day and when I can’t control myself I’m going to hurt you and take you away from him forever. No father wants to see their ‘little girl’ hurt in any shape, way, or form, just like I can’t stand seeing you like this. When I see you like this it always makes me feel like I’m the one that has done something to upset you. Now please, calm down. I’ll fix things so he can’t upset you ever again. Now relax. Please?” He gave her a kiss on the cheek hoping that it would help her to relax. He had a plan about how he was going to eradicate the problem that her father was causing, which may or may not involve him revealing his wolf-self to her ‘old man’. He had to think about that one. Another option would be to drag in his pack, but that would be rather... extreme... “Before you ask how I’m going to fix the situation, let me tell you how I’m going to fix it without culling him. First off I’d like to take you out of his care. I’d then like to... reveal the side of me that he hasn’t seen yet. So, first things first... will you move in with me?” [/ul]

Josie hated her father, sometimes she even felt like killing him but she knew she never would. She knew she could only wish she’d be just like mom and be able to walk out on him. She missed her mother who was now living up the good life in Los Angeles, California as a starting actress. Josie had only been to California to visit her mother once and it was when she’d run away before she’d met Jacob. Jacob was truly the only thing keeping her here in Forks. When she’d first moved here she already hated it because she had decided to live with her father instead of her mother. She listened to Jake’s every word but these thoughts kept coming in her head. Then Jake said something about her living with him. “Live with you?” Josie said out loud while pondering at the thought of living with Jacob. She would love it, being with him made her happy. “Yes, I will move in with you.” She said.
